Loved this. I've only had one colonoscopy so far with anesthesia and I remember how long that short sleep felt. I don't recall the mind shift but love that you do and can put words and images to it. Also thanks for the Wade article which I've now already consumed. As a student of anthropology, I am now keen to read the book.
I really like the Bar Harbour image. So serene and beautiful. Unfortunately for me, post-anaesthesia I usually feel very nauseous and just want to vomit.
I really like "Lovers on a Sidewalk". Creative use of focus that is an instant favorite for me.
Thank you, Donn!

I like your imagination Alex! Had to read your post at one go!
Thank you, Shital! Your support means a lot!
Bless you friend - As always, I enjoyed the story and the photos. My fave four red chairs awaiting hind-ends.
Thank you, Depswah! I appreciate it.

Thanks for your comment, Mark. My wife is like that too -- feels sick after anesthesia.
What can I say, some folks do well with nitrous oxide. Luck, I guess. :)
