That's how I greet an acquaintance who hasn't become a friend.

VERY true and I appreciate you bringing up the importance of balancing the two. I actually am working on a piece about this very topic. Cool, contrasty images!

Thank you, Juliette! Looking forward to your piece.

Learning to enjoy the shadow between the two.

Great point, we need the contrast. Unfortunately your images are too appealing and your words are not depressing enough. Please try again!

Americans overvalue happiness at the price of reality. All light and no shadow makes Johnny a dull lad.. The most interesting peopIe I know that are truly themselves are not doing good, great and wonderful, nor do they aspire to a fleeting light show from marketers. It puts undue pressure on chasing one's tail. Silly gringos.

So true Alex, I'm going through a dark period after losing my dad recently and tapping into this turmoil of emotions for creative purposes has been incredibly helpful.

Thanks for making me temporary sad. Like the benefits you mention, believe they're true.
